*Need help understanding what Round 9 means?

1. Sc in the first 6 stitches.
2. Sc in the next 2 stitches. Then do a decrease stitch. At this point you should count 9 Vs.
3. Repeat the sequence of 2 sc followed by a dec, five more times. So that would be: 2 sc, dec, 2 sc, dec, 2 sc, dec, 2 sc, dec, 2 sc, dec. You should have 24 stiches at this point.
3. Sc in the last 6 stitches
