The eyebrows

Now that you've gotten lots of practice crocheting the single crochet stitch, you're going to get a crash course in a owl lot of new stitches:

You just crocheted in a straight line (woo!), which is called "crocheting in rows." Here's what you just did:

Row 1: ch 7 (7)
Row 2:
sc, hdc, 2 dc, hdc, sl st (6)

Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Use that tail and the tapestry needle to sew one end of the eyebrow between rounds 6 and 7, centered between the eyes. The eyebrows should point upwards at about 45°.
