The tail pieces
Brace yourself. It's ✨time✨
Time to learn the magic loop. To make the tail, you'll first make two separate pieces and then crochet them together. In this step, focus on making the two pieces. Using gray yarn, watch this tutorial:
Magic loop giving you trouble? Try this easier chain 2 (ch 2) method instead. It'll probably leave you with a hole in the middle, but that's OK – you gotta do what you gotta do to make a circle.
Whether you made a circle using the magic loop or chain method, give yourself a pat on the back for finishing Round 1. Now make the rest of the tail:
Round 1: | start 4 sc in a magic loop | (4) |
Round 2: | [sc, inc] x 2 | (6) |
Round 3: | 6 sc | (6) |
For the first piece, leave the stitch marker in the first stitch of Round 3. Then fasten off, leaving a tail.
For the second piece, leave the stitch marker in the first stitch of round 3 and do not fasten off.
