The fins
Brace yourself. It's time. Time to learn the magic loop. Using blue yarn, watch this tutorial:
Magic loop giving you trouble? Try this easier chain method instead. It'll probably leave you with a hole in the middle, but that's OK – you gotta do what you gotta do to make a circle.
Whether you made a circle using the magic loop or chain method, give yourself a pat on the back for finishing Round 1. Now make the rest of the fin:
Round 1: | 6 sc in magic loop | (6) |

Tip
If you're having trouble seeing the stitches in this teeny tiny magic loop, use the 3 stitch markers that came in your kit and mark the stitches as you make them.
Then invisible fasten off, leaving a long tail. Use needle and tail to sew both edges of each fin together.
Repeat this for the second fin. Then use the tapestry needle and yarn tail to sew the fins to round 11 of the body (the last blue round), about three stitches away from each eye:
