Poppi was born in the water, and has been in love with it ever since. She plays in the water, sleeps underwater, and ah, if only she didn’t have to head to shore to munch on her favorite grasses, life would be perfect!

After finishing the bunny kit I wanted to try something bigger. Poppi the Hippo was the perfect kit! If you've completed one of the smaller kits, the intermediate ones are very doable.
I'm so impressed with The Woobles patterns! They are ingenious and unlike some crochet patterns I got on Etsy, they are extremely easy to follow. Amazing video tutorials for everything are also on the website.
My hippo turned out great! I think I even missed a few stitches here and there accidentally, but the pattern is forgiving and it still looks good. The yarn quality is also wonderful and feels very high quality. The kit comes beautifully presented as well, so it could make a great gift! I would absolutely recommend this pattern to anyone who has done even just one simple crochet.
(The color looks a little weird in my photos - it's brighter and closer to ther product photos in real life)
My daughter picked up crochet this summer and after breezing through some beginner kits, she wanted to move on to this intermediate kit. It was a little more challenging, but not difficult for her. She ran into one hiccup and when I reached out about it, I got a very quick response from Justine. Poppi turned out great!
