With this learn-to-crochet kit, you'll learn how to crochet - surprise! - flat things. That's right, this conical hat is actually made in rows. You'll also learn how to use a fork to craft a pom-pom.

Each party hat color combo is a surprise! Two randomly picked colors will be included.

If this is your first time crocheting, get a beginner learn-to-crochet kit instead. Accessory kits are not designed to teach you how to crochet.

What's included

  • Step-by-step video tutorials
  • The¬†Woobles Easy Peasy yarn, custom-made for beginners
  • Hat crochet pattern as a PDF download

You'll also need a 4mm crochet hook, which comes with any beginner crochet kit.

Super cute

If you want the stripe at the bottom you have to remember to change colors yourself. But it is so cute.

Cute Party Hat

If you know the basis stitches of crochet, this should be an easy kit for you! Looks so cute on my fellow Woobles

Super Easy, Quick, And Cute!!

The pattern is very easy, I finished each hat in less than an hour, even the color change ones. They are super cute and a nice little decoration for birthday parties. I made all four using the pink and green from the kit and white from another kit. I do find it strange that the color change is not included in the video or pattern even though every picture you see of the hats in the pattern (except for the actual tutorial part), on the website, and on the physical packaging has a color change. I'm still giving 5 stars because it is a lovely little hat that is fun to make, but I do suggest adding the color change or modifying your images.

To have enough pink and green yarn I did the color change in the second to last row instead of the last. I did the first sc in the last inc of the row before I wanted the color change and then yarned over for the last sc of the inc and then introduced the white pulling it through the two loops on the hook. I then carried on as normal with the pattern. At the end I just weaved in the yarn tails from the color change on the inside of the hat. What I hadn't figured out was how to whip stitch with the color of yarn that it would form the stitch over, but I still think it's cute even with the white going up the side of the hat. I wonder if there is a way to make the hat in the round to avoid stitching the hat into the cone shape.

For the pom poms I recommend rolling them in your hand to make them more fluffy since this material of yarn is not as fluffy as is. This also helps shape them before you start cutting. For the pom poms with the white added I took one strand of the color (pink or green) and another of the white yarn and wrapped both around the fork together. Since there are two strands this way I wrapped them around the fork half the amount you normally would with one strand.

Hope this helps!! :)

Very fun accessory!

I only docked a star because, as many other wooblers mentioned, the pattern does not match what is advertised since the brim color change is missing in the directions. I'd recommend for the Woobles team to take new photos to reflect what the hats truly look like. Other than that though, I had a lot of fun making this kit! I never made a pom-pom before and that was super fun to do!
