This was my first kit and it went great. The instructions are clear and they use different colored yarn to make it easy to see. The video being broken down so much makes sure you're good before moving on. It turned out way better than I expected and gave me the boost to want to keep going! Have already bought several more kits!
My son (age 9) saw an add for Woobles and asked if we could try it out. Neither of us had ever crocheted before so we figured we'd learn a new skill together and see what happened. Well, it was way more of a success than I hoped! Henri was my very first project, followed by his lily pad. My son made Bacon the Pig. I have to admit I initially gave that price point a little bit of side-eye... but you're not just paying for the materials, you're paying for the excellent and perfectly-paced instructional videos. Wow! The videos are SO well done. We were able to follow along easily, and if we got confused? Guess what, they're broken into step-by-step chunks so you can go back and see exactly the bit you need! (Did I watch the instructions for the double and half-double stitches 5 times before getting the flower petals on the lily pad right? Yes. Yes I did. But I got there.) I also appreciated that the videos gradually encourage you to be more and more independent as you go. We're now both on our third kits and loving it!
This is my 3rd Woobles project and my favourite so far. There has also been some improvements in the tutorials since I first tried a almost two years ago and I found it even easier to follow. I love Henri and I will continue to repurchase new kits and expand my skills.
I’ve been crocheting a while but being self taught I had some bad habits. So I found this was good to re-establish better habits. I also found good explanations for things I didn’t know.
Definitely going to be getting more.
I'm half way done with my Henri and I already love it. The instructions were very clear and easy to use, though it wasn’t my first time to crochet. I’m still kind of new to it. It helped me a lot like learning the magic loop which I couldn’t learn by myself and it was worth it because the yarn does not and it’s so easy because it even comes with extra eyes.
