My first crochet made easy

This was my first time crocheting or doing anything with yarn or thread. The instructions were super easy. The yarn is more like shoe string than yarn, which made it very easy to work with. Kiki is a little lopsided, but I'm very happy with how my first piece came out overall. Thanks so much for teaching me a new skill!

Chick / Duck / Chick

The versatile chick pattern! I made her into a duck as well and the accessories are a must! They add such character to your little wooble.

Mostly awesome, few quibbles

My first real adventure into crochet and it was great! The instructions for making the body were very clear, as were the wings. Like a few other commenters, I found the instructions on making the beak to be confusing - the instructions show how make a center circle and crochet the next round and then skip straight to attaching the fully-formed beak to the body. Trimming the tail of the piece and shaping the circle you just made into something that resembles an actual beak are never explained, and when making the wings it specifies flattening the piece "like you did for the beak"... which was never explained. Luckily, my sister is aces at crochet and was able to help me out! We have named her Cheese N. Quackers
