I think the glow-in-the-dark yarn adds a plasticky feel which I didn't really care for. Also the slipperiness probably caused me to stitch far to tightly. My Poe ended up a lot smaller than the Jerry the Jellyfish I just finished.
Think this is a good project to skip the pre-crafted magic ring. I couldn't my tension to match that of the ring a few times, looked much more even after I just used my own. Have to create several magic rings for this pattern so might as well start from step 1.
I’m absolutely in love with Poe! He’s so ugly, he’s cute! I loved the glow yarn. I’ve made a lot of woobles and for the most part I read the instructions but needed to watch the videos to learn the embroidery and how to attach the pieces. I would consider this kit to be beginner plus.
I absolutely loved making Poe. I’d never crocheted before taking on this project, and I’m really happy with how it turned out. The videos are very easy to follow. I just ordered more kits!
Poe is a challenging project. I found myself trusting the process alot. But it did not disappoint! Poe was my sixth Wooble, and I enjoyed the more challenging stitches. The only thing I'd suggest is giving more detailed videos on attaching the side fins as there's not much to accurately follow with the videos provided. Other than that, I had so much fun making Poe! I would not recommend this for absolute beginners, but for people who have done a Wooble or two, this is the most satisfying project. Seeing all the pieces come together is incredible and makes you appriciate the work put into them. And the added bonus of having Poe glow? Genius.
This little guy was such a fun challenge! There’s so many intricate pieces and making sure everything evens up presents new challenges. I loved building Poe! He’s so cute!!
