Iβm brand new to crocheting and have been using the woobles to learn. Murphy is only my second wooble. His body was easy to tackle once youβve got the basic crochet stitches down, but this piece definitely pushed my sewing skills with shaping the body (I restarted a few times but eventually got it). I also felt like my piece looked a fair bit smaller than the video. But overall he turned out super cute! And I liked learning a new stitch to make the fin. Iβd definitely recommend Murphy, but one of the more blobby shapes may be a bit easier if youβve never crocheted before.
Murphy is my 4th Wooble, but maybe the most fun to crochet. What he may lack in cuteness, he makes up for in unique character. I really enjoyed learning the new half double increase crochet stitch (to make his wiggly fin). And I thought he had just enough normal stitching (single, increase and decrease ) to keep it interesting. AND he glows in the dark!
I have wanted to trying crocheting for a while, and when I saw Murphy, I knew it was time. I genuinely love him like I would love my own child.
Murphy is so cute and was so much to make! The online instruction videos were really thorough, though lacked a bit of detail with some of the sewing. This was my second Wooble and Iβm looking forward to the next. Canβt recommend Murphy enough!
Fantastic beginner crochet project! I have never crocheted before and the videos were excellent at describing the different stitches and techniques. Shaping the body and sewing were difficult at first but i was able to figure it out after a few days and going back to it. This particular wooble seems to be on the harder side of Beginner Plus but it is absolutely doable with enough dedication and the finished project is great. The glow in the dark yarn is a nice touch as well. I will definitely be purchasing more in the future.
