This was my first Wooble, and it was a great experience. I had crocheted flat things like blankets and scarves before, but I thought amigurumi would be impossible. This project was challenging at times, but it was completely doable. The step-by-step videos provided excellent guidance and troubleshooting. I really think just about anyone could learn to crochet with these kits.
I learned how to read a pattern as well as how to do an increase, a decrease, and a magic loop. I was blown away by how much easier this was than I was expecting.
One thing I could have used was a reminder to flip the piece so the right side was showing on the horns. Since this was my first time doing amigurumi, I didn’t realize that all of the pieces needed to be flipped, not just the body. By the time I got to the arms where they did remind you to flip the piece, the horns were already firmly attached wrong side out.
Regardless, my Howard is still adorable, and I had a lot of fun. Learning a new skill made me feel very accomplished. I was capable of more than I’d thought.
I loved crocheting Howard he is so great for the holidays, really beginner friendly and is my second wooble!
