The pot

You're almost at the finish line 😉 Just make the final magic loop using the brown yarn.

Round 1: start 6 sc in a magic loop (6)
Round 2: 6 inc (12)
Round 3: [sc, inc] x 6 (18)
Round 4: [inc, 2 sc] x 6 (24)
Round 5: [3 sc, inc] x 6 (30)
Round 6 30 sc blo (30)

What's this? Another new abbreviation? blo means, you guessed it, "back loop only." With the right side of your work still facing out, insert the hook under the side of the horizontal V that's further away from you. So instead of putting your hook under the entire horizontal V, put it only under the side of the V further away from you like this:

Continue working on the rest of the pot:

Round 7: [inc, 9 sc] x 3 (33)
Round 8: 33 sc (33)
Round 9: [10 sc blo, inc blo] x 3 (36)
Round 10: 36 sc (36)
Round 11: 36 sc flo (36)

Surprise, surprise! Yet another abbreviation. 😱  Yup, you guessed it again, it's flo means "front loop only." So insert the hook under the side of the horizontal V that's closer to you.

Round 12: 36 sc  (36)

Invisible fasten off leaving a long tail. Fold the top over at round 11. The edge should match up with the leftover front loops of round 9. Thread a needle with the tail. Use it to whip stitch the edge and the front loops of round 9 together. Weave in the yarn tails on the inside of the pot.

Hooray, you dun it!

And there ya have it, your very own cactus plant!
