This is an amazing product it had I had so much fun with it. Iβm not quite done yet with the legs. One thing I did notice for the eyes in the tutorial are much smaller than the eyes that actually come in the package at least for me.
I had to learn a lot of new stitches for this guy, and was a real challenge, but very rewarding in the end. The sword wasnβt as hard as I thought it would be.
This guy and the sword were very tough to complete even with the videos. But I did it and I donβt think he looks so bad. I may have to work on my finesse. Still enjoyed the process
I let my young son pick out which character he wanted mom to make him (he LOVES playing Minecraft) & he was set on the creeper & iron sword bundle. Mostly for the iron sword. :) this is my fourth complete Wooble & Iβm not ashamed to say I have several more lined up to make. I came up with the idea to let my twins & niece pick out the ones they want mom/auntie to make & I am learning a skill Iβve wanted to learn since i was a kid.
I did have a tough time with the legs on the creeper & for some reason there were two legs that were smaller than the others, even with following the exact pattern. I wish i could figure out what i did! The sword I found to be pretty challenging also, but a very fun challenge. I really enjoyed making these two.
The videos are very easy to follow. If i can give one, very minute critique, it would be when editing future tutorial videos, to keep the large groups of words away from the view of the set of hands & needle/yarn when demonstrating. There are not many, but it can be distracting when trying to watch. I am a visual learner, so i get more from watching the demo. Otherwise, these kits are wonderful. The Woobles are all super cute. I canβt wait to get more!
The starting piece had large loops, making the creepers. Head look more like a dome than a flat piece like it is in the game. It also has some techniques that should be classed as intermediate, but this isnβt my first wooble so. I didnβt have any problems, but the friend I was making it with struggled a lot and I had to help him. I wouldnβt discourage someone from buying this because it is cool, but there are some issues with the size of the eyes and the quality of the starting piece.
