Meet Pastel Fred the Dinosaur

Fred the Dino is wearing pastels like an absolute boss, and we just can’t get enough! While we’re the first to admit that Fred always looks fierce, these dino-mite new threads are bringing some seriously irresistible vibes. In fact, his look is so fresh that anything else seems positively prehistoric!

Wooblin’ with so many pastels may seem a bit tricky at first, but rest assured that our Easy Peasy Yarn™ actually does most of the heavy lifting. Plus with our super helpful step-by-step videos, even this kit’s Beginner+ techniques will soon seem rainbow-lievably simple. So let’s grab our hooks and throw it back to the powdery pastels of the 1950s B.C. as we bring this a-roar-able new pal to life!

Fred turned out so adorable! Look at his tiny arms! I love the pastel yarn (please sell this on Amazon and continue to put out fun yarn colors)! Fred’s pattern had some challenges that were easy to follow. He looked odd at first but came together to be super cute.

Cute dino; but doesn't look like the picture

Fred was fun to make, but I got frustrated after the head because it did not look at big and round as the images. I redid him 3 times before I just continued on. Based off other Fred images, I guess this is what he's supposed to look like, lol. Other than that, he was fun and easy to make!
