This pattern was SUPER easy and straightforward, and my Spock turned out adorable. I modified him slightly by adding brown eyes, bangs, and his classic skeptical raised eyebrow, and I added a couple of rows to his body to make him taller than my Kirk. I would recommend this pattern to any Star Trek fans or people who want a simple, mindless crochet project. Now, I'm going to nitpick. On the written pattern, to start his ears, it says to make 3 sc, but not whether it wants you to chain first or use a magic loop. I had to look up the video tutorial to be sure what it wanted from me. Also, Spock doesn't have the science insignia, he has the command insignia like Kirk does. When I made a Bones for my sister by modifying Kirk's pattern, I printed out a tiny science insignia and coated it in UV nail gel, so Bones actually has the right insignia and Spock doesn't. . . . But otherwise, I had a great time with this pattern! (Including a pic of Bones to show his insignia, because why not?)
