The magic loop

We're starting off with a bang! Take the pink yarn and crochet a magic loop with 7 single crochet (sc) stitches in it. This video shows you how to crochet a magic loop with 6 sc in it - just add another sc to it, to make it 7:

Tip

If you're having trouble seeing the stitches in this magic loop, use the stitch markers from your Woobles beginner kit mark the stitches as you make them.

Magic loop giving you trouble? Try this easier chain method instead. It'll probably leave you with a hole in the middle, but that's OK – you gotta do what you gotta do to make a circle.

Still having trouble? Put the cake-to-be aside, and nail the basics by making your way through a beginner kit that's been pre-started for you.

Whether you made a circle using the magic loop or chain method, make sure you made 7 single crochet stitches and then give yourself a pat on the back for finishing Round 1.
