How The Woobles Helped Sandy Sanders Learn the Art of Crocheting

Crocheting is a hobby that has been gaining popularity in recent years, with people finding it to be a relaxing and productive way to spend their free time. Sandy Sanders is one such person, but she had always struggled with learning how to crochet. In this Meet the Maker Q&A, Sandy shares her experience with The Woobles and how it helped her finally master the art of crocheting. She also offers advice to anyone who's considering giving crocheting a try.

What got you hooked on crochet?

Sandy: I decided to try crocheting because it looked like a fun "pass the time" hobby. I always like to be doing something productive. The bonus from crocheting? The creatively cool (and sometimes functional) products that result!

How did you come across The Woobles? What encouraged you to try it out?

Sandy: I saw a Facebook ad that claimed The Woobles could teach anyone to crochet. I was skeptical but figured, after years of starting and stopping because I just couldn't get it, what did I have to lose?

What’s your favorite Wooble?

Sandy: I LOVE my little Pierre the Penguin because it was my first ever successful crochet project!

What do you do with your finished crochet projects?

Sandy: I went crochet crazy and ended up turning out penguin after penguin and even moved on to turning out chicks, just in time to gift them as Easter basket presents.

What would you say to someone who’s on the fence about trying to learn to crochet?

Sandy: Give it a try! Crocheting is a great hobby that you can basically take anywhere with you. Life is too short to not expand your horizons and learn something new.

Sandy highlights that crocheting is not only a great hobby with so many benefits, but it can also be taken anywhere due to its portability. Even if you’re just starting out with crochet, with the right resources plus a little bit of practice, anyone can become an accomplished crocheter.
