Fairly easy to pick up and get going because of the video tutorials. It comes pre started but I undid it just to understand the concept of how one begins. The video tutorials are super detailed and clear but there are some sections for this raccoon where the video tutorial switches to another animal to demonstrate a crochet concept which can be confusing to someone crocheting for the first time. I wish they spent the time to make videos for every step demoing just scooter the raccoon. It took me a day to finish but I’m pretty happy. 😊
I was so happy when this one was restocked! He was a little challenging g which I liked! I still have some issues with sewing flat pieces on the body, but I love him!
This was my third woobles and probably the most challenging. I found it a bit difficult to get the hang of the oval for the mask part and my embroidery skills are seriously lacking. However, with a bit of improvising, I got the little guy finished.
I have never crocheted or done anything like it before this Wooble. Even though it says beginner if this is your first time, DO NOT start with this one!
It took me a long time to finish. It was difficult and I was frustrated most of the time. It involved several color changes and sewing on separate pieces that you must start yourself. I had an especially hard time starting the flat piece that I was happy with and I re-did it twice. I also had to sew the tail on the other side because he kept falling. His face is also crooked because my row was slanted, but oh well. As someone who has never done this before, the complexity of this pattern was a little discouraging.
I love my raccoon, even though he is very wonky. I will probably buy another Wooble, one that is a bit simpler. However, if I were to do this over again, I would start with a different plushie.
The raccoon was my first Wooble, and I had absolutely zero crochet experience. The videos are super clear and had the perfect pace to help me learn the stitches and get comfortable with crocheting. I'm now on my fourteenth (!!!) Wooble and I don't even need the videos anymore, I just read the patterns. I've even started crocheting a blanket. I'm very grateful to Woobles for helping me learn this new hobby.
