I restarted about 3 times, because for the life of me I couldn't get the right amount of stitches sometimes, The pattern was hard to follow at first not understand what it was asking, But once I restarted a few times I started to get the hang of it. But I'm pretty happy with how he turn out for my first go of Crochet.
I got the Felix the Fox kit as gift, and it was wonderful! The videos are clear and easy to follow. They anticipate that you know nothing, and cover everything step by step. The yarn is also very nice - it doesn't unravel or fray easily, so you don't have to worry about pulling a partial loop.
With what I learned from this kit, I've been able to follow other crochet patterns and crochet other creatures. While the initial kit is a little pricey, it's worth it for the skills you take away.
