My boyfriend gifted this to me and I absolutely love it. The characters are really great to make. It has so many goodies. The crochet hooks are so cute and the designs are awesome. I love using them for each character.
All of the instructions are fairly straight forward. There were a couple areas I was a little confused with, but it all went well. Other than that, as per usually the instructions were thorough and well detailed.
The extra yarn is perfect especially when you need to embroider and possible mess up (like I did a few times haha). The quality of the yarn is great. The sparkle yarn is my favorite to work with so far. Very fun pop with the regular yarn.
The box and stage are beautiful. It’s like a wobble early Christmas when you open the boxes and see all the cool accessories, characters, and extras.
Very much worth getting. I hesitated at first with Wooble. I kept thinking that affordability wasn’t there. HOWEVER, you keep your patterns and can reuse them. The materials you receive is worth the cost of a great time. Cannot go back now and extremely happy with Wooble.
This set I was looking forward to the most because I love lord of the rings. One day I hope to see a capybara with a little orange accessory (or whatever that fruit is they have on their heads). Haha maybe one day. Wooble if you see this, maybe something new to consider.

I absolutely love it and it was a blast to go through! I’ve never crocheted so this was the kit that spoke to me and got me excited to learn. The videos are well organized and easy to follow. There seem to be a few missing explanations here and there that might be obvious to experienced crocheters but to a newbie I had to just wing it, but it wasn’t anything major and in the end I think lends to the charm of a homemade item.
My only complaint is about the hooks. They are beautiful, but the size label is covered on the hook itself and is unreadable, so I had to dig into the online details on one of the included kits to find it. And they seem to have a shrink wrap of some kind on them to give the design and one is already coming off for me, so I don’t think I’ll be able to use it long and these will likely end up being decorative rather than functional so I don’t risk the designs peeling off.
I'm still making my way through all of the characters (Still have the Balrog remaining) and it's been a blast!
I was a liytle intimidated at first, but I was able to follow along thanks to the great tutorials. The tension ring is solid, just took a bit of getting used too. The box it all comes in is big, and makes a fun presentation area for all the characters.
Everything is awesome, and I'm so happy that I jumped on this! The reason I'm giving it 4 stars however is that all the hooks that came with my set have some residue near where the metal meets the grip. I've had to spend some time trying to clean it off all five of the hooks that came with the set. It's not a huge deal, but a minor inconvenience that I had to use one of my own hooks for a bit till I was able to get all the residue off. Anf yet, after a few attempts, there is still a small amount that's difficult to get to right at the grip, but the yarn still snags a bit, so I guess I need to clean it with some extra effort.
Other than the hooks, everything else has been amazing. Would definitely recommend for those with a bit more than beginners experience!
I got this as a birthday gift for my avid LotR fan of a sister who also loves to crochet. It was an absolute hit! She especially loves that the collector's boxes make little backdrops for the characters. Thanks for the perfect gift Woobles!
Just got my kit in the mail today! I’m so excited to start! I went through the boxes to make sure everything is there and I got so excited when I came across the tension ring and pouch box that I had to write a review. I honestly was expecting some thin little flexible plastic ring, but no! They made it a sturdy, heavy duty ring that looks well made and not cheap at all! And the heavy canvas drawstring bag feels just as durable as it looks in the pictures. I’m impressed! I definitely feel like I got what I paid for.
