I really enjoyed this tutorial, but I bombed it so bad I decided to make my tiny treasure chest an incompetent Mimic instead. :0.
I had done one beginner kit and the tiny heart crochet before this, and I had a difficult time with this. I plan on coming back to it some day when I get more experience!
This chest was really hard to make and for me it doesn’t look the best but it looks fine next to kaida
This was honestly surprisingly challenging for me. I restarted the project three times, but my persistence paid off in the end. Anything worth doing is worth doing well. Definitely recommend following the videos on this one. I was stubborn my first two tries in sticking to old school written instructions and it wasn’t clicking for me. I love so much how the Woobles offers step-by-step videos. It really has helped me to learn new techniques. I definitely feel assembly would have been easier if the addition of stitch markers to mark the joining corner stitches were included in the instructions.
I found it difficult to line up the lid with the base, so my treasure chest sits a little wonky. I think if the directions had included marking the stitches on the base that would match to the corners of the lid, things would have turned out better. Overall, not my favorite. However, I still learned a lot.
