So much fun!

I've never crocheted before, but I decided to give it a try due to the TikTok and Facebook ads I kept seeing. THIS IS AMAZING. The instructions and videos were so easy to follow and I now have a pretty good-looking tiger. For my first-ever crochet project, I'm super proud! There a few things that I wish I had done different at the beginning of the project, but that's all part of the learning process.

I found crocheting to be extremely useful for my anxiety. Focusing on the yarn and tiger pattern gave my brain something useful to focus on! It also reminded me back when I was a child and used to create latch-hook projects...a lot of the hand movements felt similar.

I bought the turtle and llama kits for my next projects!

Tiger

You get to practice your magic circle multiple times on the tiger! This was my 2nd wooble and it came out better than my first! Still appreciate the step by step video! Have tried 4 times to make the tail. It is tailless right now.

LOVE

Tanya was so fun and easy to make! This was my second Wooble and I’m obsessed. The video tutorials are so easy to follow and I keep them bookmarked for when I’m reading crochet patterns now. I’ve bought their book full of more adorable amigurumi and I’m so excited to start the intermediate kits next!!

Finally learned to crochet

I've been trying and failing to crochet for years and it was getting so frustrating trying to follow YouTube videos when I didn't quite have the matching supplies and couldn't tell what I was doing wrong. I enjoy knitting but there seems to be so much more you can do with crochet, and I was so bummed that I could never figure it out. Tanya is my first woobles kit and I had low expectations for actually getting this to work, but their instructions are super clear and I was able to get started after just a few minutes. The supplies are high quality and perfect for beginners, as the yarn does not fray. They also pre start the body, skipping the hardest part so you can get started learning the basic stitches right away. Later on, when you've gained some experience, you do learn how to start pieces like the belly and ears with a magic loop and how to switch colors using the tail. This process of starting simple and building on the basics helps tremendously with the learning process; in the past I think I failed because I couldn't figure out how to get pieces started properly and that made me want to give up before getting anywhere. I would highly recommend trying out the woobles! It was so much fun.

My third and favorite Wooble… so far!

I had so much fun making Tanya. I started with Pierre the penguin and then Jojo the rabbit, so I’d built more confidence than I had with that first attempt at amigurumi (which I still enjoyed despite my inexperience!). Tanya introduced me to the color change and tested/enhanced my magic circle skills. I am beyond in love with this company for introducing me to my new favorite hobby and for showing my kids that we can make something so adorable rather than just buying allllll the things at Target. They have fun picking my next projects and “helping” me crochet all kinds of things now (and I only just started crocheting last month). If you haven’t already, jump in and learn! It’s so rewarding!
