I've been crocheting off and on since I was in elementary school (I'm a full grown adult near retirement now). I had never made anything except blankets, scarves and granny squares (I'm working on a cardigan now), however.
I was able to make the main body within an hour or so and all the attachments were easily made in minutes over the next few evenings after dinner. The video instructions are always easy to follow and I appreciate that the pattern for each round is on the screen for the majority of the round. In fact, I quickly got to a point where I'd freeze the video when the instructions came up and make those rounds, then move to the next video fairly quickly.
I did try to follow instructions on the .pdf available but I find all the rounds in print there seem to run together. I like how the videos make each sets of rounds fairly compartmentalised and the entire project then doesn't seem overwhelming for me.
Now if these little cutie kits were a touch more affordable for a teacher's salary....
