Walter the Bear Crochet Kit

I had so much fun making Walter. The videos were super easy to follow! This was the easiest crochet tutorial I have ever followed! I had so much fun and I can’t wait to make more Woobles! I am definitely hooked!

It was really fun to make!!! Mine turned out smaller but still was very fun. I accidentally embroidered the nose down snared of up but I still love Walter!!

I started this kit with very limited crochet experience (I had only been making chains and ugly coasters). Overall, the videos were easy to follow and explained everything well. However, the tutorial for the snout was confusing and did not produce the same look as the package. On the package the snout is perfectly shaped and has clean, symmetrical stitches, but even the person doing the tutorial had moderately messy stitches. This felt untrue to what was advertised.
To get back to the good things though, the yarn was very easy to work with and made the process of crocheting much less frustrating. When using different yarn, my hook often got caught and I had to pull the hook and move the string with my fingers but this yarn glided right through. To continue, the video tutorials showed you how to do things slowly at first, but over time got faster and had you rely on what you had learned which helped me retain the information.
After I was finished I still had plenty of yarn left which I could use to experiment. I decided to try and make a miniature version of my bear wooble without a pattern. Though, the miniature version is messy, I did it completely alone without the videos which shows that this product teaches pretty well.
The main downside of this though is that it's very expensive for what it is, I couldn't see me buying too many more of these because of the price, it is nice though that they sell the yarn individually so I could make different things with the ease of their yarn.

I just got this kit about 3 weeks ago. It was so easy too pick up and set back down because of how many parts the instructions have. They were very thorough about everything expect sewing parts on and the details on ears and nose. I was struggling and didn’t want to wait forever (a day or two probably) too get an answer so I guessed how to do it. I hated the details and doing them because for me the instructions were not clear. I struggled making the nose but that was more because I’m horrible at finding stitches and counting them. Everything else was absolutely wonderful and clear. I loved doing this and it taught me how to crotchet!

I was super excited to start this kit! I have been trying to crochet for years but the videos always use yarn that is difficult to find the visible but this yarn is amazing!
So why only 3 stars?
I am still working on the ears! I have sent a message for assistance and still have not gotten an answer. I would have been fine if the tutorials didn't skip over parts- this is a beginner kit so I feel like as a beginner it is best to see all steps. I completed the magic loop easy- but then it only gives you a title page on how to do the next few rows and every time I do it I have more stitches than called for but I am doing the Inc stitch exactly as was shown in the beginning of the kit and it still is not right. I should have a cone looking ear apparently but all I have is a slightly bigger loop than the magic loop I started with!
I did purchase another kit but not sure I will even get to it because of how frustrated I am with the instructional video and with no reply from the help team I am at a loss. I don't want to ruin the yarn by continously pulling it out to do over.
Please address this issue since I noticed from some other reviews that I am not the only one who has a problem with this but unfortunately I have not found any other YT video to help me past this hump.
