I've done a few Woobles Kits to date and this one was especially challenging, similar difficultly as the Santa. Lots of redo's and far from perfect. I do believe as other reviewers have indicated there is an error in the pdf and video about where the trunk should attach, it should be on row 19, not row 20 of the base. I had to reach out to the Woobler team for help and they did provide some additional guidance. I think the video should have provided more context on how to identify the front loop of that row and showed you have to slip stitch onto it and then crochet into that row, as this was the first time I've encountered this in a kit. Spending more time on how to do the attachments and extras outside of the base Wooble is an area where the videos can improve. Also the branches didn't puff out or ripple enough on the top and middle layers, but I seem to have done better on the last bottom branches. I agree with those who said for a Christmas tree it was a bit underwhelming so I added some sparkly gold yarn to the last row, FLO, of the branches to make it perk up a bit more for the holidays. For my next one, I may add some beads as another reviewer suggested. I'm making several Woobles as gifts this year as there is nothing better than a homemade gift, strongly recommend making one for a friend or family member.
Douglas The Fir is my first wooble. I really enjoyed this project. I recommend to anybody no matter their crochet skill. The video instructions/tutorial was very clear and easy to understand. I love that you have the ability to go back and watch any step as many times as you like incase you forget a stitch. Plus the ability to reach out for help is awesome. I can't believe I was able to create the same cute little tree as the one on the package.
Douglas was such a fun project. I just couldn’t leave him naked! I had to make sure that I gave him some ornaments!! I watched a few videos on French knots and used scrap yarn to give him some!

Douglas is a very fun project. I learned a new crochet stitch, triple crochet. I wouldn’t recommend it as a first product but definitely one to do with a bit more experience.
