Awesome Way to Start Crocheting!

Pierre was my first Wooble, and I started him about two months ago. I never crocheted before, but, after a couple hours, I was crocheting with ease. The tutorial videos by the Wooble team are excellent, and I appreciated the kit that had all the supplies needed. I had so much fun with Pierre that I bought a second Pierre kit and crocheted him in purple. I have gone on to do several more Woobles that are more complex than Pierre, and Pierre provided me the foundational skills to advance. Pierre is an excellent choice for your first Wooble, and the Woobles are an excellent way to learn how to crochet. I am “hooked”! A huge thank you to the Wooble team for this new hobby!

Love it!!!🐧🐧🐧🐧

This is so fun! This is my first woolble and I was gifted by my aunt and then I kinda forgot about it for like 3-4 months . But then I was like hey maybe I should try this out! And I am so happy I did !

my third wooble!

my friend got me the turtle-y dino-mite valentine bundle as a birthday present and i had never crocheted before then, but have always wanted to! my nana is very good at making both blankets/scarves as well as amigurumi and i was so excited to finally learn for myself. i made those two projects and couldn’t wait to order pierre—i actually ordered him same-day on amazon, and at the same time i placed an order for nico the cat and the harry potter ravenclaw raven bundle, so i worked on pierre while i waited for them ship. i found that pierre was really easy compared to emilio and fred! the stitches were very basic and there were only four pieces to sew on, so i finished him in a couple hours between a few breaks. i just realized, though, that i have been putting the safety eyes in wrong (the pattern says to make them six stitches apart, but i had interpreted it as six stitches BETWEEN the eyes. so, just ignore the fact that his right eye is a liiiitle more off to the side of his beak than the left. i definitely recommend pierre as a great beginner’s piece! i feel like he was very easy for me to complete as i had already done some more difficult characters first.

First time crocheting, and surprised myself!

I never crocheted before, so I thought I would try this kit. The website said that Pierre is pretty easy. I was surprised at myself for actually finishing it. I thought the videos were helpful. I think I made a mistake on a couple of rows, but I knew I made the mistake and got frustrated with that, but it still came out cute. The extra help videos were useful so that helped with the project. My suggestion would be to have an additional project video with the remaining yarn, like suggestions or how to make a smaller Pierre. I had half of the yarn left, and ended up practicing the stitches and magic loop. My kids asked for another penguin, and i ended up making a blue ball and embroidered a face on it (not exactly the best face, but they could see it, LOL!) Otherwise, I was proud of myself and would do another kit in the future!

Pierre the Penguin Perfection!

Okay so my penguin isn’t perfect, but considering I had absolutely never crocheted in my life before this kit, I am thoroughly impressed with how my penguin turned out! I had been looking at The Woobles for a long time, and I had actually ordered this kit way back when The Woobles first started during early Covid days and they still had the old yarn and plain cloth bags. But then during moving etc I misplaced that kit, so eventually my husband re-ordered this for me after their new Easy Peasy yarn came out, and I am SO glad I started with the easy yarn! It is way easier to see your stitches and know what you’re doing, and make sure what you’re doing looks like what is being made in the videos (which are amazing, by the way). I know this because after making this one, I actually found my old kit! I still used it, especially for practice, but also because making these guys is just so much fun and very stress relieving. I have severe depression and anxiety, in part from chronic pain and illness (and having to be off work) and focusing on this has really helped distract my mind and my hands (which like to keep busy and fidget). Anyways to sum this review up, I had zero confidence that I could do this and I actually came close to giving up, but my crochet (and Amigurumi) savvy neighbour/friend was able to help me, and once I got past the parts where I was unsure, the videos made it so easy to follow along. I wouldn’t dock a star for the fact that I had to get my neighbour to help me because I know The Woobles does offer unlimited help via text and email. Since making Pierre, I have also completed the chick (which my husband had also ordered for me in that same order) and I just want to make so many more! I would have way more kits if the Canadian exchange rate wasn’t so bad, price is the only downside for me. But we have all spent money on things that get far less use and enjoyment, so even though money is tight being on disability, improving my mental health and giving me that sense of accomplishment has been invaluable! I am definitely now “hooked” and will forever be grateful to The Woobles! 🐧 🐤
