Woobling really is a lot of fun and good stress relief.
This is a great design, and I enjoyed making it. Some of the steps were a little confusing (specifically where to leave the stitch markers in and crochet over them), but I watched the videos over and over until I got it.
Some people don’t like the recycled video clips from other projects, and I agree that it would be better if the person demonstrating was working on the same project as you so you could compare yours to theirs, but seeing that they could recycle the video clips made me realize that the techniques I was learning weren’t specific to just one project. I could take the techniques and recombine them to make my own patterns. It’s given me a lot of confidence.
I was a little intimidated by the head feathers, but the videos broke them down step by step, and it wasn’t as hard as I’d feared.
I do wish that they had included feet in the original design. Even with his tail to balance him, Woodstock doesn’t sit up on his own. I added feet using the pattern for the stork’s beak from The Woobles’ book.
He might not be perfect but I love him! I can’t wait to make his outfit!
This was very easy to make, even though I dislike Half Double Crochet Stitches! His eyes are a little funky, but that’s probably on me and my skills.
This is my third wooble and was very fast to put together. I probably spent 4-5 hours or less because I was doing it very casually while hanging out and talking with family over thanksgiving break. I thought all of the instructions for this wooble were very clear!
This is my 8th Wooble so it’s coming along fairly quickly. Made 5 Snoopys 1 Luna the Bat and 1 Steve the Frankenstein. I have included a photo of my progress after 2 hours of leisurely crocheting. I truly am hooked. Lol
