He’s very silly, and I love him. I really did like the yarn. I’m gonna make him into a keychain and give him to my sister :)
I will say I have been crocheting for a decade, and I had issue in the instructions part. I don’t think it showed well enough how to continue onto the next line, It just expects you to know. I do, which was fine, but I think others would’ve struggled with this.
This was my 3rd Woobles project
First was Snoopy, then the Beagle Scout kit, then the shark-ling. As a reference, I had TONS of yarn left over from Snoopy & the Beagle Scout kits and those were my first.
HOWEVER, with Shark-ling I ran out of both gray and white (the two most important colors). I feel like I have pretty decent tension (rare holes, even stitches). But yet, I still ran out of yarn.
I unfortunately ran out of white yarn (not used for anything except the bottom of the body - so it's not like I cut the white yarn at any point). Luckily, I had left over white yarn from Snoopy, so I was able to just add that in. Frustrating
But the most frustrating was not having enough of the most important color - gray! My shark-ling is missing a fin (I wanted the tail and dorsal fin more so I made those first when I started to suspect I was going to run out of gray (since I ran out of white first). Sad. From now on, I probably won't buy any little baby kits unless I have left over yarn in those colors.
If you look at other reviews, I'm not the first person to say this so maybe Woobles should consider giving a bit more yarn, especially as beginners are still learning tension and sewing pieces on, etc.

I stuffed mine so he’s a bit more whale looking than shark shaped but I still think he’s cute lol. This little kit was very quick and easy to make and looks cute next to the big shark kit one! This kit is beginner friendly but the chain stitches part on the tail might confuse some brand new crocheters so maybe try a different kit first for experience. There is an easy to follow tutorial video though and the written pattern has pictures so you can still do this even as a brand new beginner
