Original Joe and Alternative Joe

Lots of fun making Joe, but when paired with my yellow mystery donut (BTW, who has ever seen a yellow frosted donut?), way too much yellow. Wanting to tighten up my stitches from my 1st version (still learning) I went into my leftover yarn to make a blue mug, but didn't have enough, so mixed colors, and created a fun new mug. I added a tiny bowtie (my 1st tiny accessory, thank u Woobles), a white crema heart, and big blue eyes, and I have a great Valentine present for my hubby. Doing a bunch of Woobles, I felt comfortable trying something new because of the great learning tools that Woobles provides. Love 'em!

Great First Wooble!

For some background: I have been knitting for about 15 years now. I consider myself a fairly accomplished knitter, but crochet stumped me. I could do a chain, and that was about it. I even took a crochet for knitter's class once, and it was still really hard for me to understand. I've really been wanting to make amigurumi lately, and kept getting ads for The Woobles. I was originally nervous about the cost, and spent a lot of time researching them on Reddit to see if others thought it was worth it. I finally decided to get some to see for myself, and I am so glad I did! This was the first one I made, and it was so easy! The videos are fantastic and I loved how they guided every step of the pattern. It made it really easy to follow along and learn the stitches and get to make something so cute! I was even able to remake it out of my own yarn by just following the PDF pattern, because the videos were so thorough that I felt confident enough to just read the pattern on my own. I am so grateful for The Woobles because now I can crochet!

I will say, it's difficult to figure out which kits to buy to learn what techniques, though. I wish instead of just listing the level, the description specifically said which stitches are learned in each kit to improve my skills even further, but that's about the only criticism I have!

Love coffee. Love joe.

I really enjoyed making joe the coffee mug! I decided not to stuff mine so I could use it to hold things. Great pattern for beginners, and the handle helped me learn a new technique!

✨coffee coffee✨

So cute! Joe was on the top of my Christmas wishlist this year, and, sure enough, I got him. Though I had crocheted in the past, Joe was definitely fun and easy to do. Would recommend for any beginner.

Fun to do!

Who knew you can crochet a coffee mug. This is my very first Wooble and I’ve never crochet before. I think I’m happy with how it turned out. With the extra button in the woobly bits I decided to give the mug a nose just to see if I like it. Turns out it is impossible to remove once you put the safety on the other side. Oh, well! The handle proved to be a challenge so I had to start over a few times but it worked. Now I wonder what to do with the leftover. I may try the mug again or wait and complete the Christmas advent calendar I ordered and use all leftover pieces and yarn to try some of the free patterns.
