I had never crocheted before and though I bought several kits, I thought the axolotl might be the perfect one to start with and I was absolutely right. The little videos were incredibly easy to follow, and the end result was absolutely adorable. So glad I did this and I’m looking forward to doing another one soon
The body and the belly are simple (like Pierre the Penguin and Kiki the Chick) and you'll learn how to make foundation chains to use for their frill/gills. I didn't quite get the mouth right but thankfully my son loves him no less despite my imperfections. I think you'd enjoy making this one!

As soon as I saw the Axolotol I knew I had to have it! This is one of the fastest kits I've done--the ears (gills) looked hard but they were actually quite easy. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, as usual. Super fun!
