This is my second wooble, my first being Pierre. I really enjoyed making Gandalf, mostly everything was easy to follow along with. The one thing I struggled with was the hair, sewing it on was a kinda difficult and it turned out kinda bumpy, good thing the hat covered that up. I decided to sew the hat down so that I didn’t have to worry about it falling off, which helped with the brim of the hat not curling up too much. In the end he turned out absolutely adorable.
Making Gandalf and his cute little staff was so relaxing and it was so fun to crochet a character from my favorite book series. The Woobles collabs are so fun and creative, and if you want to learn to crochet, you can learn with one of your favorite characters from a book or a movie. I'll definitely get another Wooble soon!
The only downside was that the instructions for the hair were a bit tricky to understand. It didn't show you how to sew the hair all the way down, and that was confusing to me. Otherwise, I LOVED GANDALF!!!!!!
One suggestion, though.....
MAKE A LEGOLAS WOOBLE!!!!!! ( he's my favorite character! )
If you or someone you know loves LOTR then this is the wooble for you! The directions are super helpful and crocheting is such a fun and relaxing hobby. I love making woobles!
I love the LOTR series so much and Gandalf is my favorite character, so this is just perfect for any LOTR rings fan
This kit is fun and is great for learning some new techniques. It really helped me understand color changes better, introduced me to some new stitch techniques (BLO, FLO, HDC), and appeals to my inner nerd. The hair was especially interesting to complete. The staff was a little challenging to get going at first with it only being four stitches in a round most of the way through, but I love the end result of the entire piece.
