Now to learn how to crochet flat things! If you already know how to crochet flat things with double crochet stitches and color changes in them, straight to the written pattern you go!

Row 1: (green yarn) ch 4  (4)
Row 2: dc in the third ch from the hook, dc  (2)
Row 3: ch 2 and turn, dc in the third stitch from the hook, dc  (2)
Rows 4-5: (switch to blue yarn) ch 2 and turn, dc in the third stitch from the hook, dc  (2)
Rows 6-7: (switch to green yarn) ch 2 and turn, dc in the third stitch from the hook, dc  (2)
Rows 8-23: Repeat rows 4-7 four more times.
Rows 24-25: Repeat rows 4-5.

Fasten off and weave in the yarn tail.

Row 1

Grab the green yarn and make a slip knot:

Then make 4 chain stitches:

Do two double crochet stitches (dc) into the foundation chain - one in the third chain from the hook, and one in the chain after that:

Row 3

When you hit the end of the row, you'll need to do 2 chain stitches and turn your piece (abbreviated "ch 2 and turn"). Then dc into the third stitch from the hook:

Row 4 and beyond

Now you know everything you need to know to be able to follow the written pattern up top! 

When you get to the end, fasten off and weave in the yarn tails:

Last step - sew together the two ends of the scarf together so it stays on Lola Loca:
