Rounds 6-39 & changing colors

It's time to switch colors! Round 6 will be white. Watch this video to learn how to change colors smoothly, and what to do with the red yarn so that it's easily accessible when you need to use it again:

Once you learn color changing, you know all the techniques you need to know to crochet the rest of the floatie! Some things to remember as you make it through the rest of the pattern:

  • There are 8 single crochet stitches in each round (abbreviated sc)
  • Stuff the floatie as you make each section, to make it easier to stuff
  • Change colors in the stitch before the pattern says to change color

Round 6-9: 8 sc

Change to red yarn, stuff.

Round 10-15: 8 sc

Change to white yarn, stuff.

Round 16-19: 8 sc

Change to red yarn, stuff.

Round 20-25: 8 sc

Change to white yarn, stuff.

Round 26-29: 8 sc

Change to red yarn, stuff.

Round 30-35: 8 sc
