Boing

This was not one of my favorite kits. First you make the egg and then cover it with a coat. That’s over 30 rounds of crocheting just to then hide more than 1/2 of it. It’s also very boring to do this x5 to end up with 5 ghosts only in different colors. I tried to just make the coat and close it up like Snooky. I guess it looks OK. Also, I know we aren’t supposed to overstuff these, but the amount of stuffing provided results in a “flimsy” final product. Again, not the best of the Woobles offerings.

Good but disappointing

Once you’ve made one of the ghosts, really you only need different yarn colors and more eyes. Two of my kits where missing hooks.

Cutely Concerned

My sister got me the ghosts for Christmas. I just finished Clyde, and even though I'm not 100% happy with how his eyes turned out (which I'm sure will get better with experience), I love how cutely concerned he looks. I'm a teacher, and my students love how cute he is. They already asked me to do Pinky next, so how can I tell them no? Thank you!

Happy expansion

I'd gotten the original Pac-Man bundle when it came out and considered making ghosts in the other colors. Before I could even look into which colors I'd need, they came out with this bundle :)

Overpriced for the same pattern over and over and over...

TLDR review: My qualm is that I paid for Blinky prior to the set of 4, meaning I have the ghost pattern. The other 4 are still the same ghost pattern. I think they should've sold the set of ghosts as materials only, or at least make that an option. If you want to buy pinky and nothing else, then buy it with the pattern. If you want the whole set, buy the pattern once and then rest is just materials. No way did materials cost $140 or $160 so I paid for the same pattern 5 times.
Oh, another let down is that these 4 ghosts (according the picture) have a hook that matches that ghost. Pinky comes with a Pinky hook. That's fun, I like that part... But Blinky (red) doesn't come with a Blinky hook - it is the same hook as the Pac-Man hook.

I am a fairly new Woobler. I've always been curious but didn't want to spend the money. I am Pac-Man obsessed and is even something that is "woven" into my relationship as it was a big part of one of our first dates. I have Pac-Man stuff everywhere now. How could I not get these? I started with just Pacman and Blinky (red). They've been sitting on my desk, untouched. I saw the rest of the ghosts and while I didn't want to spend the money, I really wanted to have the same string and pieces so the whole set matched. This pushed me to start on my kits. I really want them to look good so I want to learn it and feel confident before using the string that came with the package. I also started with the little ice cream cone that came with Pac-Man and then I did the cherry next. I'm glad I did these first because the main characters wouldve looked awful if I had jumped straight in. I am now using cheapo yarn to really nail down the techniques so, again, my characters will come out looking how they should. I realize this is NOT the process Woobles was intended for, but I don't care. I spent a lot of money on these and I want them to look good.

I have not opened any of the ghosts yet so hopefully all of the pieces are there. I saw other reviews that stuff was missing.
