The magic loop

We're starting off with a bang! Grab the crochet hook and yellow yarn, and crochet a magic loop with 6 single crochet stitches in it:

Tip

If you're having trouble seeing the stitches in this black magic loop, use the stitch markers from your Woobles beginner kit mark the stitches as you make them.

Magic loop giving you trouble? Try this easier chain method instead. It'll probably leave you with a hole in the middle, but that's OK – you gotta do what you gotta do to make a circle.

Still having trouble? Put the baby bee-to-be aside, and nail the basics by making your way through a beginner kit that's been pre-started for you.

Whether you made a circle using the magic loop or chain method, give yourself a pat on the back for finishing Round 1.
