Meet Fred the Dinosaur
While it may look like Fred the Dino has a big bite, don't worry—he's mostly armless.

With this kit, you'll soon be dino-mite at crocheting anything round. Why? Because you’ll be making lots of magic loops as you bring this adorably prehistoric Weeble to life. Since magic loops can be tricky, we’ve actually started the first one for you. Once you master the magic loop with Fred the Dino, you'll be partying it up like it's 1999 B.C.

Can I really learn how to crochet from these kits?
You bet - over 250,000 people have learned crochet with The Woobles, and you can be next! Just follow the step-by-step video tutorials that come with each learn-to-crochet kit. Our beginner kits also come pre-started to get you over the first hump.

Absolutely amazing

I enjoyed making this Dino! It was amazing. I made this one first which is a beginner+ I didn’t know what that meant. I also bought just a beginner. I did the Dino first. It was so
Much fun and my son loves it. However I did text the number for help and didn’t receive a text back. Other than that it was amazing!

So impressed

I am so impressed and so in love with these kits. I did two Freds, the green one first and the pink one second. My second one (pink) is definitely better. But even the green one I did turned out so well. I had a few mistakes I just lived with and moved on. I applaud the tutorials. They were concise yet thorough. I was of course taught how to crochet Fred but also taught the actual stitches to be able to apply elsewhere. So I feel confident I’m learning to crochet even beyond these kits. I’ve always wanted to get into crochet, but was always intimidated. This really helped take away the intimidation. I also love there was an option for the eyes if you are giving it to a small child. I wouldn’t have even considered that. The design itself is so cute and well designed. And the color of the yarn, yarn and tools are all such good quality. I was so addicted to creating these and whipped them up fairly quickly. Forget how many total hours. Maybe 5 hours per each Fred? I bought a bundle with the penguin and lion I can’t wait to tackle next!

Loved it!

I made this little guy for my 4 year old nephew and he loved it. It took me a bit to get used to how to properly do crochet stitches and the manic circle was merry hard, but once I got the hang of it, it was quick to finish the project.

Great, easy & want more!

Had a weekend I had to be available for any calls. So it was a good weekend to try it. I was able to get through it in about 6-8 hours put together. I am 30. Always wanted to try it. Now I am hooked (pun not intended). I want to do more. I have friends and colleagues asking me to make them a dino. I did add feet so he stands up. Tried adding nostrils, didn’t like them. Some of my stitches could have been closer. Overall I feel like it turned out great for my first try. Thank you definitely excited to find my next friend to make.
