Meet Fred the Dinosaur
While it may look like Fred the Dino has a big bite, don't worry—he's mostly armless.

With this kit, you'll soon be dino-mite at crocheting anything round. Why? Because you’ll be making lots of magic loops as you bring this adorably prehistoric Weeble to life. Since magic loops can be tricky, we’ve actually started the first one for you. Once you master the magic loop with Fred the Dino, you'll be partying it up like it's 1999 B.C.

Can I really learn how to crochet from these kits?
You bet - over 500,000 people have learned crochet with The Woobles, and you can be next! Just follow the step-by-step video tutorials that come with each learn-to-crochet kit. Our beginner kits also come pre-started to get you over the first hump.

Directions aren't great

I was pretty disappointed by the video directions for this kit. It was cut together with footage from other kits, so it was confusing. I paid just as much for this kit as the first one I did, but you all couldn't make it it's own video directions? Actually show me how to make a 4 stich magic loop, not a 6 and then make us figure it out. Show me sowing the tail on, not a random attachment on a different shape. Each builds have it's own little issues that come up, watching someone do the ACTUAL character you're making makes a huge difference to know if you're on the right track or to learn a little trick, etc. The build was still fun and it came out cute, but as a beginner (second build) I wanted more support made specifically for this individual kit (and any other kit I might make.) But also, thank you for making a magic loop like 7 times - I think I finally get it without having to hunt down and watch the directions now! I do absolutely love my new little dino friend though. After finally finishing it, I'm changing my rating from 4 to 5.

Fun, but a lil’ confusing

K This is a fun kit — you can literally see how placing increase stitches in certain areas construct the non-spherical shape of this Wooble. The one downside to this kit are the arms. The instructions are confusing and they don’t easily reverse to the other arm; it would have been helpful to have additional instructions on how to reverse what was on-screen.

Can't stop crocheting!

This is my second Wooble and I couldn't be happier! So easy to make and I was able to use just the pattern for most of it after learning so much on my first Wooble! Highly recommend to anyone on the fence of purchasing.

The reviews are true it is that easy to follow along!

Woobles have been on my radar for at least a year. My friend expressed the desire to learn to crochet. I decided I’d buy a kit of four, so I could gift one to her and try it out myself. I had my three year old choose the animals he’d like. We ended up with Disco Fred, Bjorn the Narwal, Tank the Shark, Sebastian the Lion.

I have two little ones at home so I didn’t think I’d get to them…but the three year old saw Fred and immediately requested I make him.

Woke up at 1 am to work on him and then when it wasn’t done the three year old requested I finish while they were at preschool, so while playing carpool buddy to the hubs I was working away on the Dino. Took me three days to complete it. I chose to crochet instead of sleep.

Absolutely addicted. I want to start my next. But I need sleep 😂

The videos are easy to follow. The help icons really do help (it leads to other videos) Only real hiccup I had with my learning was when I would do decreases. I was never sure if I went through the correct loops? I had to redo many of my rounds that included decreases. I’d be sure to check my work each round by counting the V’s (which I highly recommend). Learning the magic circle was really cool. Since you need to make them for Fred’s spikes. The videos really made the learning easier. What do you expect from a Google UX designer?

Now we have a Fred whom we’ve renamed Tyrone. We like names with alliteration. Tyrone the T-Rex.

Thanks for making these kits, it truly was so much fun.

So cute!!

Fred was so fun to make! The videos were easy to follow and do a wonderful job of taking complicated steps and making them simple. I completed this one after starting out with slightly easier Woobles. Highly recommend!
