About Strawberry the Axolotl
When you first meet Strawberry, you may want to ask-a-lot-l questions. But though this adorable axolotl is the most exotic of our Woobles, her beginner-level kit is anything but. Not only will you master some of crochet’s most common techniques, but you’ll also learn the chain stitch and slip stitch for those gorgeous gills. I found Strawberry to be one of the easier Woobles I have done and I was grateful for the clear direction on the ears - which seemed intimidating just from the look, but were actually easy!
Only part that is slightly wonky on it is my mouth.
This was my daughter’s second successful crochet project. Pierre was the first. She finally was able to start making things thanks to Woobles. Strawberry now accompanies us on our travels.
I absolutely LOVED putting together my axolotl wooble. The video directions were easy to follow, and I appreciated how the tutorial didn't just go over the steps needed to make the wooble itself, but also basic crocheting 411's - like what a stitch marker is, different basic stitches and how they're abbreviated on a pattern, and what different patterns themselves can look like. The best part was that I had enough yarn leftover to make a baby axolotl to keep Strawberry company! 11/10 would (and will) do again.
So like they gave me the wrong hook is like bt21 but ididnt think of it cuz is just a hook but then the safety eyes were not in the wee woobly bits all thats is inside is a damaged hook a messed up magic ring that somehow started to crumble like chalk andthey just gave me the card
We bought this kit but my daughter called dibs on it. So I made it out of leftover yarn from other kits! The gill is sparkly yarn from ladybug kit! Turned out great! Bonus, the kids said axolotl has a tail, Mommy! So I made the tail from the dinosaur kit and put that on. Looks great with it 😆
