By far this was the most exciting wooble ive crocheted so far. The challenge made this feel more like I was learning something than repeating the same thing over and over again. The videos helped me out a bunch, and overall this was worth my money!
Boyfriend here, my gf got me this as a present. It was my very first time crocheting anything and while some of it was easy, the black yarn makes it extremely difficult to see what I was doing. I feel like this shouldn’t be classified as beginner because of this but the experience was still fun overall. If you’re a beginner or getting something for a beginner I suggest getting a wooble with brighter colors.
Loved the Batman collaboration! This kit is more beginner + but teaches some new crochet skills. I was able to mostly use the written instructions to complete my Batman. Loved the plastic bat and the crochet hook.
This is my first Wooble, and my very first time crocheting ever. I remember when I first heard about these on Shark Tank I loved the idea, and I thought it would be so cool if they had a Batman collab. Now here we are! :D This was extremely fun to do overall, and I'm very happy with how mine turned out!
The kit and the Wooble itself were bigger than I expected. He's about 4.75" tall and 4" wide (although I do wish I had crocheted a bit tighter to close up some small holes so if you do he'll be a bit smaller). The yarn is very soft and didn't fray or tear the entire time, even when I accidentally grabbed it by the tip of the hook. The hook was comfortable to hold and adorably designed. I had a good amount of black yarn left over as well; I never felt like I was in danger of running out of any color.
The guided videos were incredibly helpful and encouraging; it's nice that there are extra videos for when you get lost, like if you need to restart the piece or undo a round. However I think the tutorial videos were a bit lacking in some parts, particularly the ears. The start of the ears use a technique previously learned for the start of the arms, but the second round gave me the most trouble. Having some tips and guidance from the instructor would've greatly helped (When to turn the pattern right side out, how to make them pointy like the picture, etc.). This is one of the smallest parts of the piece and I found it difficult to get the ears to be the correct shape and the same size. They worked out ok in the end but these took me way longer than it probably should've because I had to keep redoing them.
The packaging of the piece says it will take approximately 3-8 hours, and I'd say I probably hit close to 7. I'm really proud that I was able to learn a new skill, have fun while doing so, and end up with an adorable memento. I'd definitely recommend this product to any Batman fan, even someone who has never crocheted before. I look forward to purchasing the Joker kit at a later date!
