Star Trek Woobles. In the 60th anniversary year? Kismet. I have all 4 and Captain Kirk did BOT disappoint. It's probably may favorite Wooble of the 9 I've done since starting to learn in June. Loved the color change practice; I found this to be well explained. And it was fun to learn all the new crochet stitch techniques needed for this one. And the little pin?! I live!
I'm not new to crochet, but I AM new to the Woobles, and I decided to try them when I saw they had Star Trek collabs - because I grew up on Star Trek, and the old stuff will have my heart forever. This kit was SO fun! My sister bought Uhura, and we've been crocheting them together, and she IS new to crochet (and she's been loving her kit too). Woobles gave me more than enough materials to complete my little Kirk, and super detailed instructions - both written and video format - so I was never lost, even though I may have modified the pattern a couple of times just 'cause I like to go rogue sometimes . . . I also used my own safety eyes because I wanted him to have brown eyes. He turned out not quite symmetrical, but then, I'm not symmetrical either, and neither are you, and we can all be different shades of asymmetrically beautiful together! I love him, and I've already bought some more Woobles both as gifts for family, and for myself. I really appreciate how much love went into making these, right down to the teeny tiny insignia on his chest, and I'll definitely be modifying this pattern to make a matching Bones, too! Thanks for a great time, Woobles!
