Disappointing Experience with Harry Wooble Kit.

I wouldn't recommend this Wooble, especially if you're not already familiar with the process. I was very disappointed with the instructional videos, which I thought were the main justification for the higher prices. The instruction is supposed to be a key feature, along with the yarn and specialized hook.

The general instructions for the first videos are fine, but once you get into the specifics for the Harry Wooble, the videos often just repeat the pattern lines word for word. For instance, one video simply said to whip stitch the two ends of the scarf together without showing how to do it. I didn’t remember how to whip stitch since it’s not a regular step in every Wooble, and it was frustrating to have to look up a YouTube video for that when I had paid $45 for the kit.

There were several instances like this, and for some challenging parts where I needed to see how their Wooble looked, there was no guidance. Usually, making Woobles is super fun (I’ve done about 7-8 and have more unopened ones), but parts of this one were just miserable. The videos need to be much better for this specific Wooble. I was considering buying more Harry Potter Woobles, but after this experience, I won't. It even made me reconsider buying the Powerpuff Girls Woobles.

I was also not thrilled with how it turned out. If you're going to make the picture on the package look amazing, you need to provide tips on how to achieve each part, not just repeat the pattern.

I decided to give this a 3 out of 5 because I was very disappointed with the instructional videos and had a frustrating experience. While some parts were good and I generally enjoy making Woobles, the lack of detailed guidance and repetitive instructions made this kit particularly unenjoyable in some parts of making it.

Harry and Hedwig

I'm very happy with how my projects turned out. As always, the videos were super helpful. I followed a different pattern for the scarf, but everything else matches the provided pattern.

2nd project

This was my second and third project and I had so much fun doing it! minus the scarf the instructions were easy to follow. The scarf was a bit tricky which I saw I wasn’t the only one struggling with that so I felt better. But I had a blast and I will definitely be doing more!

Harry Potter and Hedwig

Harry turned out very cute! I was able to follow the instructions and used the videos for the embroidery and scarf. I’ve never seen the movies or read the books but after making these characters for a friend, I want to learn more about these characters!

Missed hobby

A little winded review, I got this kit as a graduation present from my hubby. And I haven’t crochet in about 14 years! The videos and paper directions are so amazing! It took me a little bit of rewatching some of the videos to get the right techniques down but omg I cannot believe I was able to crochet a whole Harry Potter!!
