Meet Fred the Dinosaur
While it may look like Fred the Dino has a big bite, don't worry—he's mostly armless.

With this kit, you'll soon be dino-mite at crocheting anything round. Why? Because you’ll be making lots of magic loops as you bring this adorably prehistoric Weeble to life. Since magic loops can be tricky, we’ve actually started the first one for you. Once you master the magic loop with Fred the Dino, you'll be partying it up like it's 1999 B.C.

Can I really learn how to crochet from these kits?
You bet - over 500,000 people have learned crochet with The Woobles, and you can be next! Just follow the step-by-step video tutorials that come with each learn-to-crochet kit. Our beginner kits also come pre-started to get you over the first hump.

wish you could get other tutorials for free.

I love my Fred. i really enjoyed making it. but i wish there was a little more instruction on the spikes i found those quite challenging.
i also wish you could get other tutorials for free. it kinda sucks that they teach you the skill but you cant get tutorials any other kit without purchasching it. it would be nice if you could use your own yarn.
i still really loved the kit though. i love how the tail curves slightly off to the side. adorable detail.

Great for beginners

I loved making my Wooble. The videos are easy and simple to follow and they have the pdf of the pattern if you can read them and don’t want the videos. I can make a magic circle now because of Woobles.

I made a Dino!!

I have tried over the years to crochet. The magic ring always got me. Since I started Woobling last month, I have probably made two dozen magic rings successfully! The videos and tips are so easy to follow that I went from a penguin to Dino in a few weeks. I appreciate the different levels of difficulty.

Directions aren't great

I was pretty disappointed by the video directions for this kit. It was cut together with footage from other kits, so it was confusing. I paid just as much for this kit as the first one I did, but you all couldn't make it it's own video directions? Actually show me how to make a 4 stich magic loop, not a 6 and then make us figure it out. Show me sowing the tail on, not a random attachment on a different shape. Each builds have it's own little issues that come up, watching someone do the ACTUAL character you're making makes a huge difference to know if you're on the right track or to learn a little trick, etc. The build was still fun and it came out cute, but as a beginner (second build) I wanted more support made specifically for this individual kit (and any other kit I might make.) But also, thank you for making a magic loop like 7 times - I think I finally get it without having to hunt down and watch the directions now! I do absolutely love my new little dino friend though. After finally finishing it, I'm changing my rating from 4 to 5.

Fun, but a lil’ confusing

K This is a fun kit — you can literally see how placing increase stitches in certain areas construct the non-spherical shape of this Wooble. The one downside to this kit are the arms. The instructions are confusing and they don’t easily reverse to the other arm; it would have been helpful to have additional instructions on how to reverse what was on-screen.
