Meet Sebastian the Lion
Though he may have a reputation for being fierce, Sebastian the Lion is really just an overgrown kitty whose woobly cheeks and irresistible cuddles will capture your heart.
That glorious mane might seem a bit tricky, but don’t worry—our super helpful instructions will soon have you whipping out chain stitches like a pro and roaring with pride. Just imagine him curling up on your couch or batting at a sunbeam, and we think you’ll agree that the extra effort is absolutely worth it.
Never fear, our step-by-step tutorial is here! Using easy-to-follow videos, it’ll teach you the basics, starting from how to hold yarn. Then it'll guide you through each step of the pattern — from changing colors in the tail, to making the ears, and even fixing mistakes. And if you ever find yourself unraveling or tangled up in knots, just send us an SOS at email@example.com.

I love my Woobles Lion kit! The directions and customer service are top notch. The yarn is perfect for beginners, it's very forgiving of mistakes. The kit has everything you need in generous portions to allow for mistakes.
This was such a fun kit. It was my fourth Woobles and I can see my improvement with each one. The directions, both written and video, are so well done and easy to follow. I am hooked!!!!
I got this kit for Christmas and was a little intimidated but I shouldn’t have been. It’s a little challenging for someone who has never touched a needle and thread before but I think mine turned o it pretty good! I think it’s definitely a good gift to give someone.
Learning how to crochet was so easy with all the tutorials. My finished product wasn’t perfect but I always want more! I love the woobles! The lion was my third project and every new animal is so much fun to create. I highly recommend!
I started with the penguin and made the lion second. The lion was a level of difficulty higher than the penguin (in my opinion), so this was a great progression for me. My lion is adorable and my 3 year old can't stop hugging him! The videos to learn each step are SO helpful!
I bought the Lion & the Fox (the 2 my older son picked out as his faves) and finished the Lion first. I always thought crocheting looked far too complicated and never really tried, but I found the step-by-step tutorials really helpful and the fact that the magic loop for the body is already done for you, so you don't have to tackle that until much later once you've gained some confidence. I felt so proud of myself after finishing each stage! This kit is great because the finished product is small enough that you see progress on the piece quickly. I was excited to share the crocheting joy and have gotten my parents and friend's daughter kits to try as well. The part I found most challenging was actually at the end with all the add-ons, particularly the mane. I found the videos went a bit fast when it came to sewing on the pieces, but I was able to figure out the gist and went with it. Such a cute project! Now on to the Fox!
Being new to crocheting is hard enough but she, wonderful angel, taught how to hook in a careful, understandable way. Great way to learn what I now believe the right way. Now on to the next animal
This was such a fun project! Practiced everything I had been learning from previous Beginner Kits and learned several new stitches. I also loved the tail that Cecilia added to her lion, so I searched for videos on how I might crochet it. For the orange ball at the end of the tail, I used the instructions for making the lion ear, then used the video on how to close the lion body to make it into a ball. I then found an easy way to make an i cord to crochet the tail, then attached everything. I love how it came out! I can’t wait to do an Intermediate project now that I feel comfortable with the basic stitches. I would highly recommend TheWoobles’ kits if you are interested in learning how to crochet.
I'm a total newbie to crocheting and I really wanted to learn how to make amigurumi. These kits are high quality and contain everything you need to make your project. I would not have been able to make these cute animals without the help of the step-by-step tutorials and the customer care people! They were awesome! I made a lot of mistakes on my first project, the little Chick. But I love the way she came out, even though you can still see some of my mistakes. The Lion was my third project and I had improved a lot by then, but I still had to remove stitches because I could see some mistakes. I also learned how important it is to count the stitches to help me catch mistakes sooner. I thoroughly enjoyed making these amigurumi and would highly recommend TheWoobles' products to help you learn how to crochet!
